Juvenile Gambel Quail
Gambel quail are beautiful little birds found in the Southwest desert valley. Each Gambel quail has a teardrop shaped crest. Both sexes are brownish in color. Males have a distinguishing black abdominal marking and black necks. Hens are slightly shorter, and are good layers — laying up to 2 dozen eggs. Gambel quail make good parents to their young.
We recommend a quality gamebird feed when feeding quail.
These Juvenile California Valley Quail are sold in pairs and are 6-8 months old.
